Independent Financial Advisor, Keighley, Skipton
Areas Covered
Based in Cross Hills village ideally situated between Skipton and Keighley, we offer Independent Financial Advice over the whole of West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and East Lancashire. Clients use us because of our friendly, 'no obligation' approach ;we work compliantly , face to face with our clients, or for those who prefer, over the phone. This allows us to have clients in London and in all areas of the country.
We are proud to work with 3 major acccoutant firms in the area as well as the highly-respected and successful 'Wilman and Wilman' estate agents, where our offices are based.
We also work on a flexible working hours basis and provide a 'free of charge' at home service, (we will undertake a financial review at your home for no extra charge). We understand that our clients are extremely busy and therefore we are available to visit customers on evenings or at weekends. Equally, customers are welcome to visit us at our offices and we will work to suit our client's convenience.
How We Are Paid
Many clients ask how we are remunerated and ask if we charge a fee. As a firm, we understand client's concerns regarding paying excess charges. Our remuneration system is compliant with the FInancial Service Authority's Retail Distribution Review. This means we are able to charge both fees and take commission from the provider or in some cases, apply a combination of both.
There are occasions where it is advisable for the client to pay us a fee instead of us taking commission. However, as each case is different, we explain the various options to the client on the first meeting. What we ensure is the following:
- The first meeting is ALWAYS on a 'free' no obligation basis.
- We always try to work to the best interests of our client, not ourselves.
- All charges are visible and if clients are paying a fee, we will offer 'quotes' of how much the work will be upfront.
Free Financial Health Check with our Financial Advisor
Our financial advisor will visit you for a free financial health-check to determine your current financial position, and where you want your finances to be in the future. The findings will then be developed back at the office and a set of financial plans and recommendations prepared. These will be presented to you at a second meeting along with a full disclosure of costs and charges to implement the plan. You will then be given the opportunity to consider the recommendations and choose options to suit your financial needs.
Financial Planning Process
1) Initial Meeting
Meet your advisor and find out how we work and how we are remunerated (this meeting will be free of charge and on a 'no-obligation' basis). We will establish your current financial position and ascertain your current and future financial aspirations.
2) Financial Analysis
Independent Research and Development: At our office we will design and research the whole market to deliver the best proposals and financial vehicles in order to achieve your goals.
3) Strategy Presentation
A second meeting to discuss the options and define individual strategies to meet your requirements. Full disclosure of costs and implications.
4) Implementation
Once you have considered our recommendations and chosen your options, we will then begin to implement your financial plans.
5) Review
Over time your circumstances and financial objectives may change. Furthermore, each year taxation and legislation may change. These changes may affect your personal plan, so we offer a dependable review service (at least every 12 months).
